V2 Information
We took all our customer feedback from the v1 lids and created a new mold to make the best possible version of this product:
- Improved threading to more reliably fit the widest variety of Mason jars
- Use our existing silicone sealing rings, which are much thicker and platinum cured LFGB silicone. They won't bunch up when tightening, are easier to clean, harder to lose, and compatible with many other types of lids.
- A higher quality mold means the flip cap is easier to open and close while being reliably leak proof, and stays back while pouring.
- Highest quality polypropylene plastic available.
- Wide Mouth are stronger and the handle is bigger.
- Added a carry loop to the Regular Mouth.
- Added our logo.
- Better color match with our silicone sleeves.
- We have discovered that some half gallon Ball jars have threading that is smaller than other wide mouth Mason jars, which means that our v2 pitcher lids will "slip" when tightened. So for now, v1 fits the threading of all half gallon jars but v2 is stronger and better on the jars that they do fit. This will be fixed in our next batch.
Regular Mouth recommended for Pint or Quart. Wide Mouth recommended for Quart or Half Gallon Mason jars - they are pretty big on a Pint.
Just some of the many uses:
- Making salad dressing - perfect for making and dispensing home made dressings and sauces. I even use one for gravy
- Drinking lids - with or without a straw, these work great for almost any beverage
- Dispenser lids - we keep seeds and nuts in jars, and they would work for lots of other pantry products. I use a lot of seeds in my morning smoothies, and I always keep a quart jar filled with mixed flax, chia, sesame, poppy, and hemp seeds
- Pouring lids - we always have a few half gallon jars of juice, kombucha, tea, or iced coffee in our fridge. Without a pitcher lid they dribble a little when I pour out of them, but now they pour cleanly and there is no lid to set down while I am holding my glass and the jar
- Store cooking liquids - keep your oils, vinegars, liquid aminos, and other cooking sauces neatly organized in Mason jars. Air tight storage and clean pouring.
- Protein shake lids - Makes a perfect protein shaker cup
- Pet treats - Our cats can't chew through a glass jar
- Candy jar - Pour out a few M&Ms at a time
