Our custom pork is for LOCAL PICK UP ONLY, we do not have any shipping options. Reservation fee only on a Custom 1/2 pork to be purchased for $2.75/lb hanging weight with separate fees to Pickrell Meat Locker for processing. If you want a whole hog simply add 2 reservations to your cart.

Hanging weight for a quarter is typically around 125lbs. Take home amount of pork ends up being approximately 65% of hanging weight. This ends up being around 80 lbs of finished pork for your home freezer. 

Your cost for custom pork, cut and packaged how you choose, will be approximately $6 per pound (give or take depending on your processing choices). That includes everything from bacon to pork chops to sausage! 

For reference the ground pork in our farmers market shop is available through our herdshare for $5.95/lb and all other cuts go up from there.

Total payment for meat, minus reservation fee, will be due to LRF based on the specific weight of your half within a week of locker drop off date. You will also have have a one payment to the meat locker for processing and packaging your pork at the time of pick up 2 weeks later.

Your custom cutting instructions must be selected via online ordering here through Pickrells online system.

 • Pork to be delivered to the locker on the date option chosen

 • Processing fees due to Pickrell Meat Locker at time of pickup, approximately 2 weeks after drop off. Butcher fees on a 1/2 hog are typically $250 and will vary depending on the cut and packaging choices you make. Specialty items like meat sticks or bacon will cost more and raise your processing fees. All fees are listed on Pickrells website link.
