Organic Coarse Rye Flour (Pumpernickel)

Our Organic Coarse Rye Flour is milled from organic rye berries. It is 100% whole grain. It is a very low protein flour and has a nutty, earthy flavor.  This coarse grind is great for making pumpernickel bread. Because this rye flour has a low gluten content, it needs to be used in conjunction with wheat flour when making bread. Mother Nature packs rye full of nutrition. Rye flour is typically higher in fiber and provides more micronutrients, especially B vitamins, than other flours.
